CCIH IN BRIEF
Christian Connections for International
Health (CCIH) began in 1987 as a forum for discussion, networking, and
fellowship about international health from a Christian perspective. CCIH
emphasizes field-oriented information and resources for developing countries.
CCIH includes networking among U.S.-based Christian organizations and individuals
working internationally; sharing experiences and learning from each other;
seeking ways to collaborate and cooperate; and addressing key international
health issues.
The CCIH Forum and www.ccih.org
are our latest efforts to expand the audience and message of CCIH. This
inaugural issue of The CCIH Forum is being distributed free of charge.
The cost and frequency of future issues will depend, in part, on your response.
We need your feedback in suggesting improvements, in proposing topics,
and in contributing articles for publication (see page 24).
You can become involved and help support
this worthwhile cause by joining CCIH (see form on page 23). Members are
individuals and organizations interested in promoting international health
and wholeness from a Christian perspective. Members receive:
- a subscription to The CCIH Forum;
- the membership newsletter (approximately
3 times a year);
- a membership directory (profiles of organizations
and individuals);
- discount registration fee for the annual
CCIH conference;
- inclusion in the CCIH consultant database
(optional);
- access to member-only services on electronic
networks;
- a web page at www.ccih.org (organizational
members only);
- exhibit space at the CCIH annual conference;
and
- exhibit space in CCIH's booth at NCIH
(organizational members).
