Missionary for Niger - Physical Therapist
Job Description: The Evangelical Church of the Republic of Niger (EERN) is recruiting a physical therapist to join the health branch of the Coordination for the Support of Development and Rehabilitation (CADR). The physical therapist will direct a rehabilitation center for people with brain injury and treat patients with acute and chronic illness such as back pain and degenerative arthritis at a medical clinic being built by EERN in Niamey, Niger. The physical therapist will also spearhead an effort to develop a Physical Therapy Program in collaboration with the Abdou Moumouni University. Policy/Advocacy Intern
 
CCIH is seeking a Policy/Advocacy Intern to support Policy and Advocacy projects at CCIH. The Intern will be responsible for:
 
·         Developing summaries of policy/advocacy activities for the CCIH Monthly Bulletin and website
·         Aiding in development of “Voices from the Global South” Stories
·         Attending Capitol Hill hearings and participating in legislative visits and other meetings off the Hill
·         Researching current policy topics
·         Assisting in website and social media policy/advocacy development
·         Drafting memos and letters to federal policymakers
·         Other tasks as assigned 
 
The intern will receive a $250 stipend. CCIH will also work to ensure academic credit is received (if applicable.)

Global Health Service Partnership Offers Loan Repayment for Qualified Volunteer Medical Professionals
 
The Global Health Service Partnership (GHSP) was launched as a public-private partnership between the GHSC and the Peace Corps to address the vast shortages of health professionals in many parts of the world. Through the GHSP, medical and nursing personnel from the U.S. will serve specific teaching and training needs identified by host countries. The program's goal is to contribute to increasing clinical care capacity and build stronger health sectors by deploying medical and nursing educators. 
 
GHSC will provide loan repayment support to eligible individuals for each year served in the GHSP and health service abroad. GHSC will provide stipends of up to $30,000 (subject to change) for each year served in the joint GHSP program to individuals with documented educational loans or other personal financial burdens. | Learn more about the program and how to apply

Clinica Misional Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe seeks medical volunteers in Ecuador. The clinic is a rural health care center in southeastern Ecuador located on the grounds of a Catholic Mission in the tropical cloud forest of the Oriente. It serves a culturally diverse impoverished indigenous population. The facility has examining rooms, dental suites with x-ray, an operating theater, pharmacy and basic laboratory. There is a hospital about one hour away. The clinic is staffed full time by an international multi-faith group of medical volunteers. Primary care physicians are asked to serve at least one month and have remained for up to one year. Surgeons and other specialists come for two to six weeks as necessary, and are expected to be accompanied by whatever support personnel they deem appropriate. Dentists and dental technicians visit for at least three weeks, and are welcome to stay longer. There are also opportunities for teaching in the schools and for mobile health fairs. Travel is not reimbursed but room and board are covered once at the venue, with volunteer residences overlooking the Andes. There is also an apartment for a family. International Medical Relief offers short-term medical mission trips for volunteer doctors, dentists, and medical and non-medical professionals. They provide medical relief in areas where health care is limited or difficult to obtain and in disaster areas. International Medical Relief will make all arrangements for a volunteer's stay, including transportation, credentialing, translators, and the in-country stay.
