Adonai Missions International
Adonai Missions International (AMI) is an evangelical non-denominational missionary training and sending agency serving primarily in Africa. AMI exists to partner with others who share the same vision in raising laborers for the harvest among many unreached peoples in Central and North Africa through evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, and missionary outreaches. AMI’s ministry teams serve in these capacities as well as provide assistance to national pastors, refugees, orphans, widows, and prisoners in the areas of medicine, educational training scholarship, micro-enterprise development, and more.
AMI’s teams serve in areas where medical facilities are either very poor or non existent. There are, therefore, many opportunities for doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, laboratory scientists, and other health-care professionals to win the lost, train nationals, and provide both humanitarian and health care to thousands through AMI’s Medical Mission Outreach and Relief Assistance. Christian Friends of Korea seeks to bring hope and healing to the people of North Korea in the name of Christ. We have been working in North Korea since 1995, and since that time have delivered over $32 million in aid and assistance. Our primary work is among tuberculosis hospitals and rest homes scattered throughout the Southwestern region of North Korea. We assist the patients and staff of these facilities through the provision of food, TB and general medicine, vitamins, greenhouses, small tractors, hospital renovations, equipment and supplies, blankets, doctor's kits, and many other goods. We also provide support to a provincial level pediatric hospital (a former mission hospital), and other (primarily medical) facilities as requested. We visit regularly, bring donor lists and representatives on each visit, and confirm the arrival and distribution of all our goods. We also send technical teams to help with major renovation/re-equipping of hospital facilities. In all things, we seek to reach out openly in word and deed with the love and grace of Christ among a people who have been largely cut off from the outside world for over 50 years, and who continue to endure hunger, sickness, and great hardship. We are grateful for our partnerships with various organizations, churches, and individuals that help make our shipments and donations possible. (05-08)

The mission of the
Christian Mission of Pignon (CMP) is to serve as an open window
to and for Christianity, to nurture the spiritual growth of both
the Lord’s servants and the people of Haiti, and to practically
demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to our Haitian brothers and
sisters by assisting the region with long-term, self-sustaining
program efforts in the areas of preventive and acute health care,
functional literacy and educational opportunities, clean water
and essential sanitation facilities, agricultural development
and training, community and economic development.
One important principle is: Always teach the Haitian what you
are doing so they can continue after you’ve gone.
An outpatient clinic and small hospital provide major and minor
surgery, radiology, pharmacy, lab, eye and dental clinics, nutrition
training center. The education, Christian mission and community
development programs each have a variety of individual and surrounding
community projects to nurture the physical and spiritual growth
of the people and their community efforts. (5/03)

AIM is based in Faisalabad, Pakistan's third largest city. It is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which grew out of the work of 6 community residents in 1991. It works at the grass-roots level on locally identified programs aimed to promote self-reliance. The major program sectors of AIM’s work are Education, Health, Skills Development, Youth Development and Agricultural Development. It also responds to other needs identified by the community, such as assisting with earthquake relief. Believing that change is successful and sustainable when it comes from within, AIM is working in three ways: with direct projects, with the help of sister organizations and with network organizations. AIM is the convening organization for two national based networks: NOAD (Network of Organizations for Agricultural Development) and ANJA (Alliance of NGOs for Joint Activities). (07-01)
AIM developmental approach is:
-
The development of people rather the development of things
-
Situation analysis through empathy not through sympathy
-
Work with the people not for the people
-
Root causes of the problems are more important to tackle than their effects
-
Peoples’ projects make them more merged and self-reliant

LifeWind International
The purpose of LifeWind International (formerly Medical Ambassadors International) is to transform nations, community by community, through the seamless combination of disease prevention, evangelism and discipleship and community based development. This is done through mobilizing and training nationals in their own country to minister to their people’s physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs. LifeWind International works with nationals serving in over 64 countries working in 325 CHE programs in 1200 villages of the world. Community Health Evangelism (CHE) is the key strategy being used. Its essential qualities are:
* Integration of physical and spiritual ministry – changing lives with the leverage of Christ’s demonstrated love.
* Multiplication through the training of nationals who will transform others, multiplying the results from community to community.
* Community ownership of a program, which is directed by the villagers themselves with a minimum of resources from the outside. This allows the ministry to continue and expand long after outside assistance has moved to another area. CHE results in God’s love actively changing lives now and for eternity. (11/04)

Lutheran Church in Liberia HIV & AIDS Programme
The Lutheran Church in Liberia (LCL)found itself needing to respond to its congregation and community in many ways during and after the civil war. It is undergoing a transitional phase of reintegration, healing, peace and confidence building as well as reconstruction. One of the major developmental challenges is the effects of HIV and AIDS on the lives of some of its members and on the society. LCL feels strongly that the church has a responsibility to serve the needs of the community and they have included many activities to do just that. These include education and awareness, prevention, stigma reduction, care and treatment, poverty reduction and other programs. (05/08)

Lucress Watson and Dick Watson Children’s Foundation – Child First Meds
Formed in 2003, the Children’s Foundation works to fulfill its mission by providing essential medicines that address the major causes of child death and ill health to the most impoverished children in the world. Our primary goal is to reduce needless deaths among children by providing the needed medicines to those organizations that are willing to train and educate health care providers in properly diagnosing the ailment and distributing the inexpensive and essential medicines to children. Our philosophy is that the best health care providers are those who live in the community itself. Rather than sending a doctor into a community every so often, it is more effective, sustainable and economical for the community to learn to take care of itself. We are searching for destinations for the products we supply to be used by organizations that meet our requirements. (10/04)

Southern Africa HIV/AIDS Collaboration (SAHAC)
SAHAC began in August 2004 as a working group formed by the Executive Director of the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development Organizations (AERDO - http://www.aerdo.net). SAHAC is currently a collaboration of seven non-profit organizations: CCIH members LifeWind International and Kerus Global Education along with AERDO, Churches Together, Partners Worldwide, International Bible Society –South Africa and Mariemont Community Church. The goal of the initiative is to reduce the rate of HIV/AIDS infection 30-50% within five years in participating communities. SAHAC’s focus is HIV prevention among teens and pre-teens. SAHAC aims to work through the church to catalyze community sectors— church, school, health care, government, business— to work in concert to turn the tide of beliefs, attitudes, values and behaviors among youth that contribute to HIV infection. The ultimate vision is to seed a youth movement—a positive counter-epidemic—in which youth make the case for sexual fidelity with each other. SAHAC launched its South African pilot project in Orlando East, one of the Soweto townships southwest of Johannesburg. The pilot project comprises four interlocking Focus Areas: Community Health, Church Engagement, Job Creation and Youth Development. (07/07)

World Vision United States is part of a global network of national offices collectively known as the World Vision Partnership. We are a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. We seek to follow Jesus in his identification with the poor, the powerless, the afflicted, the oppressed, the marginalized; in his special concern for children; in his respect for the dignity bestowed by God on women equally with men; in his challenge to unjust attitudes and systems; in his call to share resources with each other; in his love for all people without discrimination or conditions; in his offer of new life through faith in him. From this, we form the basis of our response to human need, which includes implementing integrated primary health care programs that empower communities to ensure the health and well being of their children and families through holistic commitment to: transformational development that is community-based and sustainable, focused especially on the needs of children; emergency relief that assists people afflicted by conflict or disaster; and promotion of justice that seeks to change unjust structures affecting the poor among whom we work.2007 statistics:
-
World Vision served more than 100 million people
64 countries were helped through large-scale emergency responses
440,000 metric tons of food was distributed to 12,000,000 people
-
