The U.S. government has designated a telephone number -- 1-888-407-4747 --
for people seeking information about friends and relatives in the country.

Dear Haiti Listserv Members

To begin our efforts in sharing news about relief efforts in Haiti, we have
started a list of organizations which are responding to the needs created by
the earthquake. We welcome news about other organizations and individuals
that you know of and are working and/or sending help to Haiti. We are
particularly interested in information about CCIH member and affiliate
organizations and other faith-based organizations. Please send a brief
message with news of the activities and how people can assist with these
activities. In addition to requests for money and supplies, we need
information about opportunities to serve in Haiti, particularly by medical
professionals.

Let us also remember prayers for the Haitian people and for those who are
responding to their needs. Please also say special prayers for staff members
and partners of organizations as well as family members who have not been
heard from since the earthquake. We will all need to rely on God’s strength
to move forward.

The following organizations are listed in no particular order.
