Provides an overview of the role of religious organizations in reducing stigma which often surrounds those living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Addresses the problem of stigma with respect to ill persons in general and HIV+ people in particular. The strategy was to make a direct appeal to the Bible, with which conference participants are familiar.
