Neglected Tropical Diseases

Neglected Tropical Diseases and Faith-based Organizations: Neglected Tropical Diseases include a number of tropical infections which are common in developing regions of Africa, Asia, and the Americas. They are caused by a variety of pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, protozoa and helminths.

General NTD Resources is a source of information on cross-cutting issues in Neglected Tropical Diseases. It is the place to search for articles, (e-) books, book chapters, (e-journals), films, cd-roms and more on NTDs and related subjects.

InfoNTD provides scientists, professionals and others working in the field of NTDs with

InfoNTD is an initiative of CCIH member American Leprosy Missions (ALM) and the Netherlands Leprosy Relief (NLR), and offered through the NTD NDGO Network.


The Alliance Development Trust in Sri Lanka developed a sermon about Leprosy for its Leprosy Awareness Sunday to raise awareness of the disease, educate communities about Leprosy and reduce stigma by relating Bible verses and themes to care and acceptance of people with Leprosy.
