CCIH is excited to hold an in-person meeting May 21-23, 2024 at Brackenhurst Conference Centre in Limuru, Kenya. Our theme is Mental Health Matters: Speaking Up for Mental Health in Christian Communities. The meeting will be co-hosted by the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) and SIL, Anglo-Lusophone Africa.
Join health program staff, community health workers, health practitioners, Christian health association leaders and staff, church and lay leaders, psychologists and psychiatrists, and mental health practitioners to discuss and learn how to support programming for mental health. We will explore how to include mental health in facility and community health services, dive into the particulars around perinatal mental health, and how to support caregivers, your staff, and self-care.
We seek participants from East Africa, including Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda who bring information, ideas, and views that are insightful, practical, and will stimulate discussion.
