An Interfaith Approach to Delivering Family Planning Services to Underserved Populations in Kenya

2025

This case study conducted in Kenya confirms the strategic role that interfaith organizations such as Faith to Action Network (F2AN) play in mobilizing religious leaders to contribute towards effective Family Planning in communities. By working with faith leaders, addressing myths, misconceptions, and misinterpretations of sacred texts and teachings handed down from one generation to another, F2AN and partners succeeded in generating a critical mass of transformed and transforming Faith Leaders to promote family planning for healthier mothers and children.
