Maternal Mental Health: Effective Scalable Interventions for Low-Resources Areas

2021

In this webinar, we explored interventions, delivered by well-trained and supervised non-specialist caregivers, that provide a scalable solution to bridge the gap where resources are scarce but the need for services is great. Phiona Naserian Koyiet of World Vision International explained effective interventions such as Problem Management Plus (PM+) and Interpersonal Therapy for groups (IPT-G) and how World Vision International has deployed these interventions to improve maternal mental health. Phiona Naserian Koyiet, MA is Senior Technical Advisor for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), on the Global Rapid Response Team at World Vision International. The webinar was moderated by Paul Mosley, MPH, Country Program Director, Ethiopia, Mennonite Central Committee. Paul is a co-chair of the CCIH Health of Women and Children Working Group.
