Senate State and Foreign Operations Appropriations
CCIH joined other religious institutions and faith-based organizations in expressing support for poverty-focused international development, humanitarian assistance and global health programs within State and Foreign Operations appropriations. The state and foreign operations subcommittee and full appropriations committees responded by voting to increase the Development Assistance account by 23 percent, global health programs by 3 percent, and disaster assistance and refugee programs by 27 percent above FY2012 level. CCIH was pleased to sign a letter to the committee expressing appreciation for this increase.
