Nae Disha III (Building Youth Resilience and Mental Health)
2020
Nae Disha is a resource developed through the Emmanuel Hospital Association’s program for Community Health and Development in 2014. It has been updated and revised and is designed for young people aged 12 to 20.
Nae Disha I was piloted among young women out of school in Dehradun, North India, and shown to be effective in improving mental health, self-efficacy, and gender equality attitudes. In 2016, Nae Disha II was revised and updated, focusing on promoting social inclusion and participation and additional modules around positive psychology.
This next version, Nae Disha III, builds on earlier versions but focuses more on gender sensitivity. It particularly seeks to meet the needs of out-of-school young people by using more games, physical movement, role plays, and interactive approaches.
